We have been building aquariums for ten years. Initially we used a syphon box and trickle filter.Totally unreliable and ineffective. Our customers want a low maintenance system with limited maintenance costs. If you have several hours per week available to carry out water changes and buy salt and water then this system is not for you.

Marine fish prefer mature water. water changes can not provide the identical temp/salinity and therefore creates an imbalance in the system killing off valuable bacteria. The water disposed off down the drain contains salt and waste from the tank. putting extra pressure on the water purification system.

To keep marines buy a system designed to do the job.

CONSULTANCY

We offer a consultancy service for marine/tropical and cold water fish. We also provide a design service for filtration systems. We provide site inspections and written reports based on an hourly rate of 25 pounds per hour. You can provide us with photographic evidence and test results for a prompt response to your enquiry.

CONSERVATION

We support the Marine Aquarium council in thier efforts to eradicate destructive fishing methods. and teach collectors to catch fish with nets. We also support the Shark Society of which we are the founder members. Sharks are essential to a health reef, eating dead or dying fish. Our breeding program is intended to study the behavior of these important species.

New members always welcome. Support the Shark Society of Great Britain.

COMMERCIAL INSTALLATION

We install Aquariums and water features in offices.Restaurants clubs and pubs. doctors and dentist surgeries. Hospitals. We offer maintenance contracts to suit the system. these vary from 180 lts to 5000lts.

Our insurance covers us for installation on new developments. conversions and existing premises. Larger aquariums are built on site and we have built to 20ft x 4 feet deep. We can build in glass or acrylic to any dimension. All our systems meet health and safety regulations. We work with architects. designers and our own installation engineers.

We recommend that the aquarium is only filled once construction work has been completed to avoid any contamination of the water from saw dust or paint fumes.

The systems are automated for ease of operation with automatic top up and light control.

We import all our own live stock and are able to supply and build reef systems or predator tanks with sharks.sting rays etc.

The black tip.white tip and nurse shark grow to 6ft in length and therefore require a large aquarium. Small sharks like the white spotted sand shark are much easier to keep in a 6 x 2 x 2 aquarium.

the aquariums are built in glass. We dont supply acrylic aquariums due to problems with the build up of algea on the surface and scratching. the limits of depth in an Glass aquarium is 4 feet (1200mm) The Length up to 4/5 meters.
Do you do maintance.
We can have as many as 15 projects under construction at any one time. We have Maintance engineers we recommend and contracts are agreed on each projects.
Can you work from drawings.
All our commercial clients either have an architect/designer or project manager.We work with the contractor and attend site meetings.
Do you have insurance
We are insured for the manufacture/delivery and installation of all our systems.
How much automation can you apply to the systems
We can install a computorised system which will create dawn and dusk. lightening. Temperature control.water level top up. and will send a text to a mobile if theres a fault.

HOLE IN THE WALL

There are various ways to achieve a picture wall aquarium. Picture frame on one side as shown below. Cabinet on the other.

False double wall as shown below that.

Its not practical to build an aquarium the thickness of the wall. the deeper the aquarium the greater the pressure of the water on the sides and base. as follows

600mm high = 10mm glass

750mm high = 12mm glass

900mm high = 15mm glass

1000m high = 19mm glass

1200mm high = 25mm glass

any thing deeper that 1200mm has to be in acrylic.

The thicker the glass the greater the cost. generally 15mm and above is built on site.

The volume of water in a marine system is an essential factor. the larger the volume the easier to keep. Any variation in polution levels is slower and therefore easier to control. Small tanks its instant.

Our basic systems are manufactured in pine. this is resistant to salt. MDF,Chipboard etc absorb the moisture. We also build in Hardwood.Oak etc
